Autism Society of Oregon - Lane County Chapter

The purpose of the Lane County Chapter of the Austism Society of Oregon (which is the state chapter of the Autism Society of America) is to coordinate delivery of services for a diverse autism community of all ages and across all reaches of the autism spectrum; to advocate for, serve, celebrate and educate the autism community; to collaborate on services without duplicating efforts; to support and work with other autism organizations; and to build and nurture a viable community for young autists to grow up in and for our adults to thrive in.

The Lane County Chapter of the Austism Society of America will work closely with the three local grassroots autism organizations - the Asperger Advocacy Coalition, Bridgeway House and KindTree Productions - which founded the Chapter and have been serving Lane County's autism community in complementary ways, as well as with other members of our Lane County Autism Community, including 4J, Direction Service, Hilyard Community Center, U of O, Autism Training and Support, Autism Speaks, and many others.

The Autism Society of Oregon (ASO) is the state chapter of the national organization, the Autism Society of America (ASA). ASA is the oldest and largest grassroots organization within the autism community, with over 120,000 members. When you join ASA, you will automatically be entered into ASO’s database to receive mailers and e-mail communications about the many events that ASO hosts throughout the state of Oregon. Become an ASA member.
